The cosmetics brand Benamôr was founded in 1925 in Lisbon by an unknown pharmacist who created miraculous ointments in his laboratory at Campo Grande nº189 of the Portuguese capital. His handmade cosmetic beauty recipes contain natural ingredients produced in the country – such as lemon, rose, aloe vera, and almond oil.

The brand lost its populatiry in the 80s of the XX century and even closed the doors of its famous shop in Lisbon, although it never ceased the sales of its famous face cream.

In 2015, a group of three businessmen, among which was the Frenchman Pierre Stark, acquired the Portuguese company Nally who own Benamôr. Stark worked for L'Oréal for 20 years – first in France, and then in Portugal where he was responsible for the luxury department. He took in his hands the renovation of the cosmetic brand and its popularisation on the international market starting with Germany, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Currently, the company has 6 shops in Portugal, and distributes its products in 25 countries around the world.
