Andrea Bădală

Andrea Bădală is the designer of the avantgarde Romanian label Murmur, which stands out in the contemporary fashion world from its conception in 2011 with its affordable luxuriousness, handmade details, and erotic forms.

Andrea studied Fashion Design at the Bucharest National University of Arts, and later – Fashion Design Technology at the London College of Fashion. She also worked for designers of the likes of Alexander McQueen, Richard Nicoll, Emilio de la Morena. Bădală attracts the attention of leading celebrity stylists, and works for big names such as Madonna, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Britney Spears.

Andrea thinks that it’s a personal choice for a designer to stand as the face of their brand and show what they can offer to a market, which is overflowing with good offers. For her, success means a creative mind that can make business decisions. She describes her style as feminine with a note of comfort, as well as retro with a hint of modernity.

According to Andrea to maintain a fashion brand nowadays you need to do more than just create new designs – it’s not that simple. The beauty hides in having the imagination to develop it. She is convinced that designers currently have a huge number of opportunities online, where everyone can easily express themselves.

‘I think Murmur is still perceived as special and daring, but now buyers think we have some experience. We are always open to feedback, and we learn new things every season and we try to have a close communication with our buyers.’
